Flora Cruzdaughter of Arlindo Cruzdenounced the fatphobic attacks she suffered for sharing some bikini photos on social media.
The 21-year-old vented on social media: «In the middle of 2024, the need to come here to talk about fat women was not something I wanted to do. Being a fat woman in a sick society that prioritizes unattainable beauty standards is even “It’s more of a challenge than everyday. We must not remain silent in the face of prejudice and fatphobia, antics and nonsense,” she began in the video posted on Instagram.
In a post highlighting some of the attacks, such as “a woman with her own money would be better off,” she captioned the photo with the phrase “no one keeps a woman safe.”
