MC Binn denounces fatphobic attacks on the web: “You must not offend me”


The musician and former BBB speaks out against online bullying and reports experiences of embarrassment due to criticism of his physical appearance




MC Binn took to social media this Wednesday, 24, to express her dissatisfaction with online attacks, particularly related to her body and appearance. In a post on Instagram, the musician and former competitor BBB declared:

“There is no need for you to come and make fun of me for my body, or beauty, etc. To defend someone you like, there is no need to offend me and attack me for anything, I am calm in my own way , making music and taking care of my family, that’s all. I’ll stay away more and more, there’s nothing wrong with it.”

During his participation in the Big Brother Brazil 24MC Bin Laden has spoken about experiences of fatphobia, admitting he feels embarrassed in situations such as going to the swimming pool due to insecurities about his body.

He said that although he often downplays these experiences, they eventually become exhausting.

“You feel very awkward. Like you’re always the last, always seen as a person… The body, the physiognomy. They often took me like that. I don’t even like looking like a victim,” the singer reported during the dialogue internal BBB with colleagues Lucas Henrique and Marcus Vinicius.
