Singer Madonna65 years old, he began his megashow on Copacabana beach in the south of Rio de Janeiro in an intense way this Saturday 4th.

Madonna’s show in Copacabana is the last of The Celebration, a tour that celebrates the 40-year career of the Queen of Pop, who has been in Brazil since Monday 29th for the event. She stayed at the Copacabana Palace, where her entourage of 200 people occupied 90 rooms.

All the excitement gave way to emotion during Live To Tell, when the screens started showing images of victims of the HIV virus. Stars such as Freddie Mercury and Cazuza were represented.

How much is Madonna’s fee?

According to journalist Ancelmo Gois of the newspaper O Globo, Madonna received R$17.075 million to sing for free on Copacabana beach. The amount was transferred from the production company Bonus Track to the government of Rio de Janeiro. At last Wednesday’s price, the value was close to $3.3 million. This figure adds to the singer’s assets, which already exceeds 500 million dollars.

The same document states that the city hall provided R$10 million in sponsorship for the event Madonna. The expense, however, could reach R$59.9 million, including the structure, surveillance, chemical toilets, among other necessities that events of this size require to run smoothly.

This will be the fourth time Madonna will perform in Brazil. She has already enchanted the Brazilian public with The Girlie Show tour in 1993, the Sticky and Sweet Tour in 2008 and MDNA in 2012.
