The success of the series has kept Fiona Harvey up at night, accusing Netflix of lying about her life.
After receiving several threats, Fiona Harvey, inspiration for the stalker character Martha in the hit Netflix miniseries “Baby Rena”, filed a lawsuit against the streaming platform. It is asking for 170 million dollars (about 890 million reais at current prices) for damages caused by the production.
Harvey accuses Netflix of defamation, negligence and violation of his right of publicity. She supports him “Baby Reindeer” features “brutal lies” about his lifesuch as the false accusation of having been arrested in the past.

“The complaint alleges that defendants’ lies about Harvey told to more than 50 million people around the world include allegations that Harvey is a stalker twice sentenced to five years in prison and that she sexually assaulted Gadd.
