Funk singer Taty Quebra Barraco opens her heart remembering the death of her son, Yuri Lourenço, and can’t hold back her emotion
Tati Quebra Barraco gave an emotional outburst about the day his middle son, Yuri Lourenço, died at the age of 19. In conversation with Manoel Soares, for the Interview with Bombouthe funk singer revealed that she received the sad news 5 minutes before going on stage for another performance and had to decide whether or not to do the show.
“I was in BH and there were five minutes left until the stage and my phone rang. A friend of mine called and said he had been shot and my mother’s heart had already told me no, right? And from there I had the opportunities and the audience gave me the right to think, whether I wanted to go on stage or not”, He said.
And he added: “If I didn’t get on, I knew I would have to pay a fine. But I didn’t take it as a loss at the time, and suddenly, maybe I wouldn’t have to pay [a multa]”.

Ultimately, Taty chose to continue the presentation. “I put it in my head and God touched my heart and said: do what you think you should do. And I saw those people there, who had nothing to do with my personal life or what I it had happened to my son. So I decided to let him go on stage and do the show.“, he concluded.
please note it Yuri, the singer’s middle child, died in December 2016, after being shot during a police operation in Cidade de Deus, a community in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, where he lived with his family.
