Influencer Maya Massafera made her first public appearance on Thursday evening, the 20th, after speaking about her gender transition process. She attended the “Quinta Sem Salto” party, organized by the influencer Dudu Barros, in Sao Paulo.

Transition process

Previously, Maya also used social media to reflect on her gender change process. She, who is still in transition, wrote about the different sensations she experienced during treatment, especially in relation to hormones, administered via pills and injections.

Maya recently admitted that the surgery on her voice didn’t work and that’s why she doesn’t speak in public. A new voice change procedure will be carried out in Sao Paulo. Maya had to wait a period of three months for the procedure to be performed safely.

Despite the difficulties and challenges, Maya says she feels satisfied with the decision she made. “Being a woman is not easy, being a trans woman is even more difficult. But how pleasant it is.”
