Jenni Rivera’s kids are planning a ‘COACHELLA’-style concert to honor her

Jenni Rivera’s children will honor her memory on the tenth anniversary of her death. Jacqie Rivera, the second of the five offspring of ‘La Diva de la Banda’ to remain in charge of her labels, has revealed that they are set to release an unreleased album of her mother’s songs in Spanish and a concert to celebrate her career, which was interrupted on December 9, 2012 when he died in a plane crash in Nuevo León, Mexico.

Also known as “La Gran Señora”, she left a great musical legacy that includes songs she recorded before she died at the age of 42. Now his fans will be able to enjoy 11 of them on his new album.

His sister Chiquis, who replaced Rosie Rivera as the CEO of Jenni Rivera Enterprises and Jenni Rivera Fashion, shared in an interview with Billboard magazine that in late 2022 they will release the album that will be entirely of the Mexican regional genre.

“It’s definitely music in Spanish, it’s more than one song, and it’s local Mexican,” Jacqie said on July 5, in what would be her first statements as manager of Jenni Rivera’s estate.

“I think it’s very important to relate to how it started, the music that he put out there and to share it,” he added of the production’s features in which some songs are led by Sergio Lizárraga, leader of the MS Band.

He commented that the album is not the only surprise they have in store, because as part of the tragic anniversary they will hold a concert with guests that will have a performance by the Rivera brothers, among them the Chiquis, who earlier this year released ” Queen Bee”. Jacqie described this event as “a la Coachella”, referring to the artists of different genres who will be part of the show.

Other projects under consideration are an English album and a film, both of which are taking shape and have no release date yet.

Jenni Rivera’s sons joined as advisors to the companies

Regarding the new direction the singer’s estate, which has been managed by Rosie Rivera since her death, is taking, Jacqie noted that her four siblings have become advisers to the estate and are actively involved in important corporate decisions.

“I make the small decisions. For the big decisions, we all get together and vote,” he explains. “My little brother, Johnny, works with me, especially on music. He’s always involved in production and we work closely together. But we definitely need each other, all together, to really do it. There are always meetings, phone calls, ” Zoom.’ We’re all busy, but we’re making it happen.”
