After the single “Aquecimento da Rebecca”, released last March, the funk singer presents the new song “Piça Nova”. The song will be available on digital platforms on June 7




Singer Rebecca has returned to her roots in music and is preparing a new release that promises to artistically illustrate the beauty and reality of women in the community. “I can’t wait for this release, the new project comes with more funk than ever. A genre that has opened all doors for me and I’m very proud to continue with it,” she declares.

In “New Piece”, Rebecca highlights feminine beauty and portrays the reality of some women in the favela. The single also contains a music video in which the artist wants to show, among other themes, the changes in girls’ behavior until they reach adulthood: “Their hair undergoes a transformation, the style seems to be different and the desires change “, she says.

In the story told in the video clip, Rebecca represents a leader, the boss of the hill. She begins to worry about beauty when she starts a relationship: “In the favela there are many stories, there is the girl who starts going out with a boy from the movement and immediately after appears with tidier hair and done nails. They grow up, beauty emerges and really attracts attention in the streets they walk through and at the dances they attend, I also bring a bit of this to this project.” Rebecca is the mother of a little girl and for this reason she feels the need to portray the female reality in her songs.
