On June 19, the interpreter herself announced that she was rushed to the hospital due to “bleeding from the rectum and urinary tract.”
On that occasion, on the verge of tears, she asked for help: “I want to ask you if you can come and donate blood… Today for me, tomorrow for you.”
In February 2023, colleagues and friends of Del Castillo, including Daniela Schmidt and Andrés Palacios, revealed that she had been diagnosed with a spinal tumor.
After undergoing surgery, at the end of the year, she showed on her Instagram account that she is in recovery and stated that she is undergoing radiation therapy.
Renata del Castillo will not be able to continue chemotherapy
Days after the complication she passed, Renata del Castillo spoke about her current delicate state of health.
“I will share news that I had not given, I will no longer be able to do chemotherapy,” he said in an interview on the “Venga la salud” program, broadcast on July 11.
She explained why she has to stop treatment: “I talked about it with my oncologist, because of the bleeding I have, which is caused by the chemotherapy.”
The interpreter, who is the mother of a teenager named Mateo, pointed out that he could have died because of these consequences.
“On two occasions I was on the verge of death from bleeding, from radiation, not even from cancer directly,” he said.
“How could I have saved my life? With the people who have given blood,” explained the star of Vencer El Desamor, a melodrama that can be seen on ViX.
He acknowledged that stopping this medical procedure “triggers the progression of cancer.” However, he does not lose faith that he will recover: “I will continue to fight.”
Renata del Castillo will turn to “alternative medicine”
Renata del Castillo recalled that it was after a Pap test that doctors diagnosed her disease.
“When I went, the cancer was already very advanced, in the final stage, which is stage four, and now I have metastasized,” he explained.
“The cancer goes to other areas of your body, it went to the sacrum part, towards the back, that’s why I can’t walk, I have other tumors here (points to the abdomen), I have it in the lymphatic system,” he explained.
Although she will not continue chemotherapy, she will look for a way to continue to fight the condition that afflicts her.
“To take alternative medicine,” he declared in a story on the social network this Thursday. “Today I woke up feeling really strong, thinking that everything is going to be okay and that’s how I’m gaining weight.”
