Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reportedly tried to get close to potential witnesses and influence public opinion from prison in an attempt to influence potential jurors about his upcoming trial for sex trafficking.
That’s what prosecutors said in a court filing urging a judge to deny his latest bail request.

The government’s accusations were made in a Manhattan federal court filing last Friday night, Nov. 15, and oppose its latest motion $50 million guarantee of the music mogul. A bond hearing is scheduled for next week.
Prosecutors wrote that a review of recorded calls to the jail made by Combs; shows that he allegedly asked his relatives to approach potential victims and witnesses and urged them to create “narratives” to influence the jury.
They say he also encouraged marketing strategies to influence public opinion: “The defendant has repeatedly demonstrated, even while in custody, that will flagrantly violate the rules and repeated to improperly influence the outcome of his case,” prosecutors wrote in the filing.
“In other words, the accused has shown it you can’t be trusted to follow the rules or conditions,” they claimed.
Prosecutors added that it could be inferred from his behavior that Combs allegedly wants to blackmail victims and witnesses to remain silent or to provide helpful testimony in their defense.
Combs’ attorneys did not immediately respond to AP requests for comment.
Prosecutors said Combs, 55, He started breaking the rules almost as soon as he was stopped at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after his arrest last September.
