How much did Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo earn for starring in “Wicked”? After the rumors about salary differences, the study speaks

Some international vehicles have published a list of the alleged sums each received for acting in ‘Wicked’. This Tuesday (26th), Universal Pictures spoke out and explained the situation.

A controversy going around “Evil”new feature film starring Arianna Grande AND Cinzia Erivotook over the web this Tuesday (26th). International press vehicles such as New York Post released a list in which it was specified that Erivo – who has already participated in several successful productions and is about to become EGOT – would have received a lower salary than that of Grande, which had a Brazilian stuntwoman behind the scenes of the production. Fans of the musical rebelled and questioned the discrepancy in values, but it was all a big lie.

The list, widely circulated on social media, showed that Cynthia would receive $1 million (R$5.82 million) for the film, while Ariana would receive $15 million (R$87.23 million). Also present in the cast Michelle Yeoh AND Jeff Goldblum they would each receive $2 million (R$11.63 million). Already Jonathan Bailey – which almost wasn’t Fiyero – would have received 450 thousand dollars (R$ 2.6 million).

After the rumor broke, Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the film, spoke out and denied all the money. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter magazine, the company was clear: “Reports of the pay disparity between Cynthia and Ariana are completely false and based solely on the Internet. The actresses were paid equally for their work in ‘Wicked'”. No diva rivalry here! The actual numbers were not disclosed.
