Frida Sofia has hit back at those who criticize her for being vulnerable after the death of her grandmother, Silvia Pinal.
On the morning of November 29, the singer posted a video on her Instagram profile in which she spoke through tears about her pain.
She thanked “the universe, God” for “the abundance” that allowed her to experience moments that “are priceless.”
“One of those moments was the great gift of being able to say goodbye to my grandmother, whispering in her ear that I loved her, that I am eternally grateful and that she deserves to rest,” he said.
Frida Sofia responds to the accusations
Frida Sofia’s emotional clip drew empathetic reactions from social network users, who expressed their support and condolences, but also received some criticism.
One person, for example, took to the comments section and wrote: “Oh girl, get up and go give your grandma the farewell she deserves!”
Despite the sadness she is going through, her first-born daughter Alejandra Guzmán did not stay idle and thus responded with strength.
“If you don’t know anything, don’t say anything,” she noted, adding a wedding finger emoji, meaning “shut up.”
Another netizen scolded her even more harshly: “Girl, cry for her and give her peace in privacy, no need to record yourself. That doesn’t make things seem real.”
The interpreter of “Mean Girls” responded again to the harsh words: “I have the right to express myself even more when it’s my personal account.”
“To me ‘intimacy’ is a luxury I’ve never been able to enjoy, so empathize and let me cry to the world if I feel like it! “Leave me alone!” he added.
To which she advised to go “with her people,” she replied: “My people are already on another level. God knows my heart.”
Will Frida Sofia not reconcile with her mother, Alejandra Guzmán?
On November 29, outside the J. García López funeral home, Casa Pedregal, where Silvia Pinal’s wake is being held, her friend, Iván Cochegrus, assured that Alejandra Guzmán and Frida Sofía have already reconciled.
However, the young artist lashes out at those who ask her to join her mother in this difficult time.
“She is so fragile and losing a mother hurts so much, don’t allow yourself to lose yours through distance and arrogance,” one advised.
“You can’t lose something you never had,” former Mira Quien Baila contestant told her in response.
So far, although the theater producer has stated that Frida will attend Pinal’s funeral, she has not confirmed anything.
