Ricky Martin cleared of all charges of incest and violence – his nephew withdrew the lawsuit

Today, a meeting took place in the case against Ricky Martin – the basis was a lawsuit with allegations of coercion to intimacy, which was filed by the singer’s nephew. The artist appeared at the hearing remotely, via video link, and testified in the case. But unexpectedly, 21-year-old Dennis Sanchez withdrew the lawsuit against the 50-year-old singer. True, he still managed to get a warrant forbidding Martin to contact him.

It is not known whether there was any conversation between Ricky and Dennis before the meeting, but the Puerto Rico court immediately closed the case. Immediately after him, the singer’s lawyers, who had previously claimed that the guy was suffering from a mental illness, released a statement to the press:

As we expected, the temporary protection order was not extended by the court. The prosecutor confirmed to the court that the decision to dismiss the case was made by him independently, without any external influence or pressure. He sent the court a request to close the case. He’s just a problematic person making false claims without any proof. We are glad that justice has been served and our client is able to move forward in his life and career.

Recall Dennis Adil Sanchez made accusations against uncle a few days ago. He stated that there was an affair between them that lasted 7 months and ended this spring. And during this entire period, Dennis continues, the singer “carried out physical and psychological attacks.” Puerto Rican law takes incest allegations very seriously, and if the alleged affair between Martin and his nephew were confirmed, the singer could face up to half a century in prison.
