The singer is undergoing a new procedure after undergoing tests at a cancer center in the United States
It was almost 5 in the morning this Friday (20th) when Francisco Gil published a post on a social network to share news about his mother, Preta Gil.
“Everything is quiet here!”, wrote the musician. “My mother’s surgery is over and everything is fine with her. Thanks for all the positive energy! She’s a warrior and has gone through this more. Let’s stay strong! Lots of love. Ax.”
The photo shows Francisco caressing the arm of Preta, who is bedridden after surgery. On his hand, tattoos with his son’s name and in honor of his mother, Sandra Gadelha, nicknamed “Drão”.
Facing cancer for the second time, the 50-year-old singer and businesswoman was taken to the surgical center of Sírio-Libanês Hospital, in Sao Paulo, early Thursday morning. The forecast was 12 hours of procedures to remove 4 tumors.

Hours before undergoing surgery, Preta Gil posted a photo with her son. “Here I am, once again faced with a very important operation, but my faith, my will to live is greater than anything else!!!,” he wrote.
“The feeling now is one of gratitude and so much love in my heart. Gratitude for being able to cure me, for being surrounded by very competent doctors, a love that overflows from my family, my friends and from you!!!”
