The doctor from Alagoas Carolina Canales24 years old, who died following a fire in the hotel where she was staying in Bangkok, Thailand, was proposed to her by her boyfriend, the medical student Fernando Lages of the Resurrection26 years, days before the tragedy occurred.
Her latest post on Instagram shows several photos of her on a boat, before the engagement proposal, during a trip to the Maya Bay beach.

According to information from the g1 portal, the couple was in their room at The Ember Hotel, in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, at the time of the fire. Close friends said the two were alerted that there had been a fire and left the room, however, as the place was filled with smoke, they ended up missing each other.
Fernando still tried to return, but was unable to find his girlfriend. He escaped through a window and broke his foot. The doctor was unable to escape and died after inhaling the smoke.
Carolina would have celebrated her birthday at the end of next month. She was the obstetrician’s niece Helenilda Canales and daughter of a dermatologist Lara Daniela Canales.
