DJ played at the festival in Belgium after a two-year hiatus from the covid-19 pandemic
After a forced hiatus of two years since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, Alok performed at Tomorrowland, one of the largest music festivals in the world, this Saturday 16th in Belgium. On tour in Europe, the Brazilian was one of the headliners on the main stage with a mega show of lights, visual projections and sound.
The show, according to the organizers, brought together 100,000 people in the De Schorre recreation area in Boom, between Antwerp and Brussels. The artist, who recently published Deep inside in collaboration with Never Dull, Ella Eyre and Kenny Dope, he showed what he called “future tech”, a kind of rave of the future.
“I wanted to try new sounds, mix the tech-house vibes with what they call ‘the rave of the future’, something that feels intimate but has enough energy to work on big shows like Tomorrowland,” said Alok.
The DJ also said that Tomorrowland is the realization of a work built over the years with a competent team: “I thank all those who walk with me, always releasing the best energy. It was fantastic to be back in this magical place after two years”.
On Monday 18th Alok returns to Ibiza, Spain, where he lives.
