Many did not appreciate the choice of the brand, because her main fan is Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and it would be logical to make her the face of the new advertisement. However, despite the fact that Megan wears shoes exclusively of this brand, marketers still chose another candidate.
Representatives of Aquazurra justified their decision to invite Maria Olympia by the fact that she is a fashion influencer and “an example of that modern girl who wears Aquazurra.” Megan’s fans believe that the Duchess was not taken to the advertising campaign because of the scandal with the brand’s pumps, which she allegedly did not return before meeting Prince Harry after shooting for a Canadian department store chain.
