How does the choice of the new Pope work?

After confirmation, the destruction of the “fishing ring” and the lead seal is ordered, avoiding any risk of falsifying official documents.
The news is then communicated to the cardinals and world leaders, while the press room of the Holy See issues a public note. In mourning, the Vatican flag is placed in the middle of the tree and the bells of the Soam of the Basilica of San Pietro in honor of the Pope.
During this period, only routine administrative decisions are maintained, with suspension in reforms, appointments and government affairs.
