The day before, almost two months after Jason Alexander, armed with a knife and broadcasting live on social networks, illegally entered the house of Britney Spears in Sherman Oaks on her wedding day, he took part in the second pre-trial hearing – but now open. The ex-husband of the pop singer joined the hearing via video link from the detention cell, where he has been held since June 9 – he was wearing a white prison uniform, and he himself was rather battered. Many noted that in two months Jason got a beard.
Alexander read out a list of charges against him for breaking in, including stalking, refusing to leave private property, vandalism, and battery. Recall that Britney’s bodyguard Richard N. Ubeler told the media that Alexander was seen at Spears’ house at the end of May and a day before the wedding, which means that he was preparing for this in advance. When asked to leave the territory, he allegedly shouted out the name of the singer. Also, when Alexander entered the house, he tried to break into the star’s bedroom, which was locked. In addition, according to Deputy Sheriff Jose Torres, the man was later found with a Gerber folding knife, which he, apparently, was going to use, but did not have time. At the same time, the defendant’s lawyer Sandra Bisignani claims that her client did not want to scare or hurt Britney’s feelings, but was only going to talk to her.
So far, no preventive measure has been assigned, but if found guilty, he faces up to five years in prison. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for August 15.

Spears, 40, and Alexander, who lives in Spears’ birthplace of Tennessee, were married in 2004 in Las Vegas, but the marriage was annulled after just 55 hours. They spontaneously got engaged in Las Vegas at night and rushed off to meet the dawn in a green limousine.
Britney Spears and Sam Asgari tied the knot on June 9th at a new luxury villa in Townhouse Oaks, California. The newlyweds invited only 60 people to the event, including Madonna, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore and Donatella Versace, who designed Britney’s wedding dress.
