On March 28, with the premiere of “Corazón Guerrero” on Mexican television, Alejandra Espinoza saw one of her biggest dreams come true: to be the protagonist of a telenovela.
In her happiness, the former Nuestra Belleza Latina queen had to hear that “the world” supposedly thought she didn’t deserve the lead role.
As mentioned in the recent episode of the “Between sisters” podcast, the former presenter of El Gordo y La Flaca had the support of her co-star, Altair Jarabo.
This is how Alejandra Espinoza defended Altair Jarambo
Alejandra Espinoza, who participated in the new version of the telenovela Rubí, which you can see here on ViX+, shared that the situation happened during an interview in Mexico.
“And between the desire to create discord and be mean or make me feel bad, the reporter probably says to me, ‘So what about people saying you don’t deserve the leading role or that there are women more prepared than you or more experienced?’ he said.
The winner of the first edition of Nuestra Belleza Latina began to answer the question. however, he got angry, which he never does, and that’s when Altair Jarambo intervened.
“Altair gets into the answer and defends me in such a beautiful way. We had already worked, we had already recorded and he started saying that I was a professional, such nice things that made me want to cry a lot because nobody should do that do it for you,” he said.
The attitude of the actress from soap operas like Overcome Desamor and Por Amar Sin Ley, apart from surprising her, was very valuable to Espinoza, since “she could have remained silent” and she didn’t.
“When Altair did that, he stopped the reporter dead in his tracks and said, ‘No, wait a minute…’ and he started talking well about me, about the job, the truth is I was very surprised.” ,” he said.
Surprisingly, in “Corazón Guerrero” Jarabo plays Carlota Ruíz, who hates Mariluz and makes her life miserable, a character brought to life by Alejandra.
After what she did, Altair became one of Alejandra’s “favorites,” so during the podcast she sent her a message: “Whatever, whatever you need, we’re here to order.”
Alejandra Espinoza knew she would be criticized for her leading role
In March, right as part of the premiere of “Corazón Guerrero,” Alejandra Espinoza shared in an interview with People en Español that she knew she would be criticized for her work as the lead actress.
“I know it’s not going to be easy and it’s going to rain 20,000 good and bad reviews, and that’s okay, I’m here to learn,” he candidly expressed. “I’m here and I’m dreaming like every person who at some point had a dream and it came true and I’m enjoying it,” he added.
Espinoza finished recording “Corazón Guerrero” in early July, so she is now focused on her next projects.
