Karoline Bernardo, 27, died on Thursday (03), after just over a month since he was diagnosed with cancer. The young woman was Olivia’s mother, just 10 months old, the result of her relationship with Vinicius Rodrigues, Paralympic sprinter and former BBB 24 participant.
The news was communicated by him on his social networks with a short but symbolic publication: “mourning”.
Reflections on life and motherhood
On June 11, the young woman shared her personal profile the difficult moment she lived, revealing the impact of diagnosis. “Find out that I have a cancer at 27, with a daughter who is about to turn 10, it’s something I’m still trying to understand,” he wrote.
In the middle of the outburst, he also remembered shock when he discovered pregnancy, describing the birth of Olivia as a milestone: “With her, I understood what true love is, a love that transforms everything”.
Accumulated pain and family loss
Karoline had already faced another recent mourning during pregnancy: the death of her brother. “The pain was snatching,” he recalled, highlighting the emotional difficulty of facing multiple losses in a short time.
Despite suffering, he sought forces in motherhood, although confessed that, in the face of the new disease, he could not maintain the same resilience. “He hurt me to think of everything we have already experienced as a family and imagine my mother who suffered another pain. He hurt me to think he wasn’t here to see my daughter grow.”
Reactions and goodbye
The mother of the former BBB, Luziane Lima, also spoke publicly. In an emotional message, he said: “I have no words in this moment of pain … Paradise today receives an angel … but here we cry our hearts”. The funeral had to take place later this Thursday in Maringá, in the state of Paraná.

Vinicius has released a karoline image accompanied by a biblical verse: “I fought the good fight, I finished for my career, I kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4: 7), together with the dates of birth and death of the girl: November 26, 1997 to 3 July 2025.
