After being expelled from the home of Roitman by AFFSO and humiliated by Odete, Maria de Fátima lives one of the most delicate moments of Vale Tudo. Pregnant and abandoned by Caesar, he decides to act motivated by the refusal and seeks a way to resume control of his life.
In fact, this initiative occurs when Odes and Caesar begin more direct involvement. The business woman is with the boy at the hotel, while fatima reads alone with pregnancy. However, what looked like an episode of vulnerability becomes an unexpected turn in the plot.
Unexpected discovery
Determined to investigate the steps of Odete, Fatima follows her up to a surprising scene. Hidden near the house window, identifies Leonardo, son of the business woman, who presumably died in an accident caused by Heleninha. The scene reveals that the boy is alive and under the care of Ana Clara.
The discovery causes immediate shock, but also feeds Fatima’s ambition. “Leonardo is alive … Odete lied to everyone!” He whispers the character, recording everything with his cell phone. Shortly thereafter, only celebrate information with Euphoria: “Now yes … now I have a bomb in my hand” .
Blackmail strategy
Aware of the strategic value of that secret, Fatima decides to use it as an instrument of blackmail against Odete. For this, he uses calculated behavior. It appears with gifts, adopts a friendly speech and tries to convince Olavo and Mário Sérgio of his change of posture.
However, behind the scenes, it articulates a plan in collaboration with Mario Sérgio to destabilize Odete and undermine his relationship with Cesare. As issued by the Caras website, Fatima’s goal is not limited to revenge, but also includes financial income and social repositioning. The character sees Leonardo’s secret a power of power and manipulation.
Adaptation of the plot
The revelation that Leonardo is alive represents a significant change in relation to the original version of the soap opera shown in 1988. In the classic plot, the character really dies and the conflict revolves around the family impact of the loss. In the current remake, with the script adapted by Manuela Dias and by the artistic direction of Paulo Silvestrini, the presence of Leonardo reformulates the narrative and expands the dramatic clashes.
This change, therefore, creates new possibilities of conflict and strengthens the controversy between Fatima and Odete. In the middle of unstable lies, betrayals and alliances, Leonardo’s secret emerges as an inflection point for the development of history.
