The singer denied the rumors on social media and stated that she had never met the lead singer of the band, currently on tour in Brazil.
Singer Wanessa Camargo took to social media this Wednesday (29) to deny rumors of an alleged involvement with Dan Reynolds, lead singer of the band Imagine Dragons, who is on tour in Brazil.
In a video published in stories, the artist said she laughed when she saw the news for the first time, but then she realized the gravity of the situation: “I don’t usually talk much about gossip, but yesterday’s gossip was really bizarre. First I burst out laughing. When I saw the news I thought: ‘Who is he?’. And then I said, “Oh, my kids love Imagine Dragons.” The note that came out was so absurd, so surreal, that I don’t even know the person. I would like to know, because my children are fans.“
Wanessa classified the rumor as “nonsense” and regretted that people believe false information: “I was married, I have two children who are on social media. It’s absurd that anyone believes this. Without a foot or a head, this note makes no sense. Of course that’s a lie. I laughed, but then I realized that it’s not nice, because there are people who believe everything. It’s a danger. There are people who believe in the absurd.“
The singer was married for 17 years to businessman Marcus Buaiz, with whom she had two children: José Marcus, 13 years old, and João Francisco, 11 years old. The relationship ended in 2022.
