A tiktoker found the gimmick so blatant that he collected Bali landscape photos to contest posts. “Steal content from other creators or photoshop in advertising images from these places,” she denounced, showing photos of the real landscapes.

Another person pointed out that he “stole this photo directly from a catalog”.

“It’s impossible for your dress to fly like this … This photo goes against the laws of nature,” retorted another.

After the backlash, Aubrey O’Day closed her Instagram account, which had around 925,000 followers, and disappeared without commenting on the matter. But the images emerged on social media.
