Actress Irene Bedard, 55, who voiced Princess Pocahontas in the 1995 Disney cartoon, was arrested in Greene County, Ohio after losing control.
According to the police report obtained by the American site TMZ, authorities were patrolling the area when they received the news that a woman had passed out in the bushes on a residential street.
Upon reaching that address, the police found Irene in a parking lot, totally out of control. She first spoke to the police normally and then she started crying.
The news also points out that Irene was with another woman, Sheila, who told the police the name of someone to turn to to take care of Irene. At this point the actress started screaming and tried to escape from the police and ended up being arrested.
According to TMZ, the arrest took place on Friday (8/19) and, after two days of detention, she was released on Sunday (8/21).
This is not the first time she has been arrested. Bedard had already been arrested twice in a three-day period in November 2020.
Shortly before these troubles, the actress reprized her most famous role, starring as the voice of Pocahontas in the animation “WiFi Ralph: Breaking the Internet” in 2018.
She was also the mother of Pocahontas in the live-action film “The New World” (2005), by director Terrence Malick, with whom she also worked on “The Tree of Life”, with Brad Pitt in 2011.
He recently completed five independent films, which are in post-production for US release.
