Cameras, cameras or cell phones have recorded frightening moments captured in the press
The attack on Argentina’s vice president, Cristina Kirchner, 69, carried out by Brazilian app driver Fernando Sabag Montiel, 35, was filmed from various angles by mobile phones.

Fortunately, the weapon failed. The political veteran later said she didn’t realize it was her attack on her life.
The story has other episodes of attack on the lives of politicians and well-known personalities. Some generated non-lethal injuries; others, death.
In all cases, the horror was immortalized thanks to some equipment that photographed or filmed the exact moment of the criminal action.
Jair Bolsonaro, September 6, 2018.
The then presidential candidate was on the electoral campaign in Juiz de Fora (MG). He was carried on the shoulders of the fans when he was stabbed in the belly by Adélio Bispo. The bricklayer, 40 years old at the time, said he acted alone. At the age of 63, Bolsonaro was operated on, kept in hospital for three weeks and, 52 days later, won the election.
Prince Charles, January 26, 1994.
This is a special case. The heir to the British throne was attending an Australia Day ceremony in Sydney when a young man of Chinese descent, David Kang, at the time 23, fired two blank shots at Queen Elizabeth’s son. The recording of the cameras impressed Charles’s calm reaction when he became aware of the attack. “Cold as a cucumber,” mocked one reporter. The noble at the time was 45 years old.
Pope John Paul II, May 13, 1981.
The leader of the Catholic Church and Vatican head of state was entering St. Peter’s Square to give a speech when he was shot twice in the abdomen by a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. The attacker, the 23-year-old Turkish Mehmet Ali Ağca, was a member of a group considered terrorist. After being healed from serious injuries, the pontiff, who was 60 on the day of the attack, claimed to have been saved by Our Lady of Fatima, celebrated on the date of the attack.
Ronald Reagan, March 30, 1981.
Just 69 days after his inauguration, the president of the United States was shot in the lung as he left a hotel in the capital Washington. He was 70 and recovered quickly. The killer was John Hinckley Jr., 25. Obsessed with young actress Jodie Foster, he was inspired by the movie “Taxi Driver”, in which a character protector of him tries to assassinate a presidential candidate. Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado – now internationally famous for his images of the environment and indigenous peoples – was present and recorded the exact moment of the shoot. He was 37 years old.
Robert Kennedy, June 6, 1968.
Four years and six months after seeing his brother, President John Kennedy, assassinated, Bob Kennedy met the same tragic end. He was shot in the head in a Los Angeles, California hotel during his pre-campaign campaign for the United States Presidency. He was 42 years old. The three shots came from the pistol of Palestinian immigrant Sirhan Bishara Sirhan, 24.
John Kennedy, November 23, 1963.
The most famous and repeated act of aggression against a public figure. The 46-year-old president of the United States was parading in an open car down an avenue in Dallas, Texas when he was shot in the back of the head and the back of the head. The image is shocking as it shows the skull exploding. Arrested, gunfighter Lee Oswald, 24, was also murdered on camera two days later when he was transferred from prison by alleged Kennedy fan, Jack Ruby, 52.
