“It’s a dissection in the right vertebral artery, which is very serious, which could have had a stroke if I hadn’t taken blood thinners,” he said.
Vitali said he discovered the problem by doing an orthopedic examination for a suspected herniated disc in the cervix. “I felt pain in my neck and shoulder, went to the orthopedist and found out it was a neurological problem.”
The wound, he said, is severe, but it hasn’t completely dissected the artery. “The treatment is done with medication, and according to doctors, it takes six to eight months for the artery to return to normal,” she stressed.
