Just a couple of days ago, Buckingham Palace published a photo of high-ranking members of the royal family and, in combination, the first joint portrait of Charles III with Camilla and Prince Wilma with Kate Middleton in new titles. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t invited to pose for a historic photo taken the day before Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral by royal photographer Chris Jackson.
But a few hours ago, the Sussexes presented separate portraits, in which, in contrast to the official picture of relatives, they hold hands.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, moments before attending the opening of One Young World last month, wrote Meghan and Harry’s personal photographer Misan Harriman.
The portrait was taken at the Manchester Summit on 6 September, just two days before the Queen’s death. Then Megan and Harry flew to the UK for the second time in three months, but already on a working visit. Therefore, in the picture, the Duchess is captured in the same bright red Another Tomorrow suit with a matching scarf.
Note that the Sussex relationship with the royal family remains tense, despite the imaginary reunion against the backdrop of the loss of Elizabeth. However, while the newly proclaimed King Charles III keeps his youngest son away — he relieved him of the duties of an adviser, deprived the Sussex children — Archie and Lilibet — titles of Their Royal Highnesses, and also refused to meet Megan, who, according to rumors, intended to speak with him personally and finally clarify the situation with the “megzit”.
It seems that now Megan and Harry are trying with all their might to make amends with the royal family and the late Elizabeth. They froze the production of the reality show from Netflix and moved the release to the end of next year. According to insiders, they have already managed to tell on camera a lot of new details about Charles, Camilla, William and Kate. However, now Harry’s relatives have acquired a completely different level of status, and the Sussexes are in a hurry to cut out especially controversial moments from the montage.
