Meet the three actors who will play the characters Ares, Medusa and Echidna in the new Disney + series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”

The official Instagram profile of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians‘, of Disney +, surprised fans by announcing the names of the actors who will play the characters Ares, Medusa and Echidna.
Actors Adam Copeland, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Suzanne Cryer join the cast of the series, which is currently in production in Canada, and has already defined most of the main characters.
In “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”, Copeland will play Ares, the God of War, a handsome but evil and arrogant man. Jessica will play Medusa, one of the most extraordinary creatures in Greek mythology and described as a bitter being after suffering an injustice from the Gods. Finally, Cryer will play Echidna, the mother of all monsters, who despite being maternal, is dangerous and intimidating.
The new Disney + series is even based on the books of writer Rick Riordan who actively participates in the productions. “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” published five volumes between 2005 and 2009. In addition, it had the derivative “The Heroes of Olympus”, also with five volumes.
Incidentally, the first season is expected to portray the events of the first book, “The Lightning Thief”. The production still intends to adapt “The Sea of Monsters”, “The Titan’s Curse”, “The Battle of the Labyrinth” and “The Last Olympian” for the next few seasons.

In the series, Percy, a 12-year-old demigod boy, begins to discover his abilities and needs to follow his training at Camp Half-Blood, however, he does not know that he is the son of Poseidon and who has powers.
Actor Walker Scobell brings Percy to life. In addition to him, the cast consists of Leah Jeffries, as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri, who plays Grover, forming the main trio. Also featured in the series are Jason Mantzoukas, Charlie Bushnell, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Megan Mullally and Timm Sharp.
