Anitta reveals the diagnosis of the virus that causes multiple sclerosis

Anitta revealed that she had been diagnosed with the Epstein-Barr virus, which can cause multiple sclerosis. According to the singer, she was treated in time and prevented the disease from progressing.

The revelation took place during the press conference to launch the documentary “EU”, scripted, produced, directed and edited by Ludmila Dayer. The singer produced the film about the actress, who also had to deal with Epstein-Barr and was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

“Two months ago I went through the most difficult period of my life,” Anitta began, revealing that she received the news shortly after speaking with Ludmilla about the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. “The next day I got the terrible news and I kept it. If I talk, walk, breathe, live, it’s how much she helped me,” said the artist.

A friend of Ludmila Dayer for years, the singer said she was contacted by a specialist to talk about the symptoms, but the contact took place only after the actress pressed her.

“I never called, but she texted me and I was like ‘wow, I’ll reply please.’ It was only then that I saw how unwell I was,” he noted. “She changed my life. I was crying watching the documentary”, concluded the artist.

Anitta revealed that her diagnosis came in the midst of producing “EU,” which chronicles Ludmilla’s experience living with a chronic infection as a result of Epstein-Barr symptoms. During the editing of the film, she was diagnosed with sclerosis and gave a different air to the completion of the project.

“When we started all these contacts, and the results came out, I had the same virus as Ludmilla early on,” Anitta said.

“I no longer believe in coincidences,” he added, regarding the discovery of the disease at the time. “Fortunately, by fate, because of all this, I managed not to reach the stage that Ludmila reached. She was a blessing in my life and only joy.”

To create “EU”, Ludmila Dayer interviewed shamans, neuroscientists and psychoanalysts, who helped her deal with her own health.

The film is narrated by Ludmilla herself, who recounts her journey in the first person. However, who appears on the screen is the actress Fernanda Souza, who plays her.

Produced by Lupi Productions (USA), “EU” does not yet have a commercial release date.
