Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have accused the famous British tabloid of misogyny

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle called The Sun’s apology for publishing a scandalous article by former Top Gear car show host Jeremy Clarkson a “PR stunt”. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have said they have not been contacted directly, which “shows The Sun’s true intentions”.

Some time later, the publisher apologized to the Sussexes, noting that they “sincerely regret” the publication of the material. However, the very next day, representatives of the spouses stated that The Sun did not contact them. In their opinion, the newspaper simply wanted to profit, and also intends to continue to promote hatred, violence and misogyny. Representatives noted:

The fact that The Sun did not contact the Duchess of Sussex to apologize shows their intentions. This is nothing more than a PR stunt.

In an article for The Sun, Clarkson wrote that Meghan Markle should be paraded through the streets naked and pelted with excrement, adding that all of his “peers think the same way.” Later, a social media columnist commented on the act, justifying it with an unfortunate reference to the Game of Thrones series, and asked the newspaper to remove the article.

Netflix previously released a teaser trailer for a new documentary, “Live to Lead,” about activists and opinion leaders who are “thinking about their legacy.” Among the characters, including Greta Thunberg and Gloria Steinem, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took part in the filming of the series, who also acted as executive producers of the tape.
