Gretchen married for the third time to her current husband, musician Esdras de Souza. The singer performed the new ceremony on Friday (6/1), in an indigenous ritual on Pará’s Ilha do Marajó, which she described on social media as the fulfillment of “a dream” as she has indigenous ancestry.
The singer posted photos and videos of the wedding on her Instagram, in which she and her husband appear in white and headdresses.
“Today was a very important day in my life. As an indigenous descendant, I have always dreamed of getting married in the pajelança.
“Esdras and I. Now we are married under the blessing of the forest, the wind, the spirits of the forest, the sun and God. It was beautiful and emotional and very strong and meaningful. Who knows,” she added.
He had already experienced one traditional wedding in Belém do Pará and the other in Lisbon, Portugal.
The new honeymoon is expected to take place in Portugal, after the singer revealed that she had decided to move her family to the European country. Added to this is a master’s degree from Esdras at a Coimbra university and the police threats suffered by the artist, after a dispute over the improper parking of a car in front of his garage door, caused by a nearby tire dealer.
“Given the events that have occurred this week with great abuse of power by those who are supposed to protect us, I have reformulated my work schedule and have decided to anticipate my trip which, by the grace of God, will be for a very good reason: my husband Esdras the Masters in Music Therapy, at the Lusíada College in Lisbon, is deceased,” he said.
