JLo Reveals Why Max And Emme Were SHOCKED When They Saw ‘Selena’ For The First Time

JLo shared what her 14-year-old children Emme and Max’s reaction was when they first saw the movie “Selena,” which made her famous two decades ago.

In an interview with the “Today” program, the actress and singer revealed that the twins she had with Marc Anthony are gradually discovering the film projects she has been involved in, including the autobiographical film of singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez.

“They’ve seen ‘Maid in Manhattan’ and ‘The Wedding Planner,’ out of curiosity,” the film producer said when asked if her children already know about her work as an actress. “They haven’t gone into anything like, ‘Out of sight.’ They saw ‘Selena,'” he added.

Jennifer Lopez pointed out that the teenagers sat down to watch the film depicting the life and career of the artist known as the “Queen of Tex-Mex” and commented that she was surprised by the expression on their faces when they discovered that she had been murdered for her friend and partner Yolanda Saldívar.

“It was kind of sweet,” Ben Affleck’s wife said with a smile. “Because I don’t think they realized he died. And so at the end of the film they said: “No!”, added the artist.

Jennifer López confessed that her children did not expect not to know the tragic end of the singer who became a legend of Tejano music.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, I thought they knew!’ Jennifer Lopez explained.

How is JLo handling her kids Emme and Max’s teenage years?

Jennifer Lopez is trying to create a healthy relationship with her children now that they have fully entered the teenage stage. Last year she commented that it was not easy to deal with the humor of her twins, since in some cases she has even been “made fun of” and “judged”.

The singer told Stellar magazine that she is living “the most heartbreaking time” with her children, whom she considered her “babies” until recently. “I thought I’d had my heart broken before, no, this is the worst,” she admitted in the interview last February.

The “Marry me” actress commented that her children have become harsh critics in her life, however, she understands that it is part of the transition they have to go through in adulthood.

“It’s quite powerful to let them go, to let them have their moment, and to let them look at you and criticize you and make fun of you,” she shared. “All the things teenagers do to their parents,” he revealed.
