While in Los Angeles they are only preparing for the Oscars, the best have already been noted in Moscow. Last night, the legendary first pavilion of the Mosfilm film studio hosted the 21st Golden Eagle Film Awards, an award given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Russia for outstanding achievements in the field of cinematography.

And the main film event of the year began, of course, from the red carpet. That evening, Vladimir Vdovichenkov and Elena Lyadova, Alexandra Ursulyak, Anna Banshchikova, Andrey Merzlikin, Ekaterina Klimova, Anna Slyu, Lyanka Gryu, Yegor Beroev and Ksenia Alferova, Natalya Bardo, Marusya Klimova and many other stars of Russian cinema, including which turned out to be Anna Snatkina, who had the honor to announce the winners of the first three nominations. The award for “Best Short Film” went to the director of the film “A” Tatyana Zhukova. The prize for “Best Animated Film” was given to the director of the film “Pinik” Denis Chernov, who said that hundreds of people are always behind the creation of animation projects, this is a very long and painstaking process, so he is grateful to the team that went with him this way. In the nomination “Best Non-Fiction Film”, the project “Phase of the Moon” directed by Andrey Osipov won.
Once upon a time I was lucky enough to make my debut in the film by Svetlana Druzhinina “Midshipmen, forward!”. Then I realized how important it is for the filming to have its own team that knows what the director is trying to achieve. And the work of the costumers in this is an important part, – said Tatyana Lyutaeva from the stage, presenting the statuette in the nomination “The best work of a costume designer” to Ekaterina Dyminskaya – for her work on the film “Heart of Parma”.

By the way, the creators of “Heart of Parma” this evening took away four “Eagles” at once – the film was awarded the best work of a sound engineer (Rostislav Alimov), the best work of a production designer (Pavel Novikov, Vladimir Trapeznikov) and the best male supporting role – the prize in this nomination went to Yevgeny Mironov, who played a priest in the “Heart of Parma”.
I never told anyone about this, not even my mother, but on those shootings I froze and pulled my back – something happened to my spine, the river began to take away from me. Nothing helped, not even acupuncture. And as soon as I realized that this was probably my punishment for arrogance, they say, we can play everything, the beginning becomes easier and easier for me. And now, standing on this stage, I realized that I was probably forgiven. Probably, they decided from above: “Okay, artists, filmmakers,” said Mironov.

We congratulate the winners here, but here, in the hall, there are many nominees. And I want to say: you are all already winners,” Marina Zudina began her speech before the presentation of awards in nominations that related to online platforms.

Anna Mikhalkova became the Best Online Series Actress for her role in the project Alice Can’t Wait, and Nikita Efremov was chosen as the Best Online Series Actor for her role in the series Patient Zero.
Thanks to my mother, who lived in such difficult times and was able to raise me, and, of course, to my father – now I would like to express my support to him, – Nikita said, taking the “Eagle”.
And Zudina, who turned out to be a real fan of Efremov Jr., could not resist and told how she once starred with his father in Dubrovsky.
Your parents were so crazy in love – your mother often came to shoot, and soon you were born. Therefore, this is a reward for them too. From the bottom of my heart I congratulate your family, ”said Zudina, admitting that Nikita always sets her son Pasha Tabakov as an example.

After that, actress Ekaterina Klimova took the stage to present television awards. The prize for “Best Actress on Television” was awarded to Yulia Khlynina (TV series “Elizaveta”). Evgeny Stychkin became the winner in the nomination “Best Actor on Television” for his work in the series “Alibi”, which was also recognized as the “Best Television Series”.
And the record holder in terms of awards that evening was the picture of director Alexei Sidorov “World Champion”, which that evening was recognized as the best game work. The film also received awards in the nominations: “Best Director’s Work” (Aleksey Sidorov), “Best Cinematography” (Mikhail Milashin), “Best Film Music” (Artem Vasiliev) and “Best Actor in a Film” – in this nomination an honorary the statuette went to Ivan Yankovsky for the role of the reigning world champion from the USSR Anatoly Karpov, who was also present at the ceremony along with the entire film crew.
Ivan, for whom this “Golden Eagle” is already the fourth, spoke about this experience as follows:
I will not dissemble and lie that this was probably one of the most difficult roles that I played. I want to tell you a story. There was an equator of filming “World Champion”, we were filming a scene in the headquarters of Anatoly Karpov with his team. And suddenly, having filmed the scene, the director of the film, Alexei Sidorov, says: “Can I have you?” I’m like, “I mean? What’s this?”. He: “I just don’t like you. You’re not Karpov!” – “Why not Karpov? And why am I playing him then?” “I don’t know.” And I ask: “What are we going to do?” Answers: “I don’t know!” This happened to me for the first time. Of course, the relationship on the site with Alexei Sidorov was difficult. After that, I cried, I felt bitter, hurt and offended. The only thing I had to do at that moment was to go to my trailer, sit down at the table and rearrange the pieces on the chessboard – to learn the combination that I was to play. Moving the pieces, I tried to feel my relevance on this earth, in this profession, in life – everywhere. And it passes by, and I left the door open – you never know , Alexey Sidorov passes by, looks at me in tears, stops and says: “This is character!” And he leaves. At that moment, everything worked out for me. It was an outstanding work with an actor, which I have never experienced, and I hope I will not experience again. Thanks to everyone. And especially to my wife Diana, whom I met in this picture. From that moment on, life has only gotten better,” Ivan said, adding that he dedicates this victory to his sister Elizabeth, whose performance in the film “Nika” amazed him.

Awards that evening were also awarded to: Daria Balabanova and Irina Starshenbaum, who were noted for their work on the film “Healthy Man”, which has not yet been released in wide distribution. Daria received a statuette in the category “Best Supporting Actress”, Irina – in the nomination “Best Actress in a Film”. Yulia Khlynina also received more honorary awards for Best Actress on Television (TV series Elizaveta). The film “Once Upon a Time in the Desert” won the awards in the categories “Best Visual Effects” and “Best Editing”. “Best Online Series” went to “Artist” Timur Alpatov.
