Former actor turned cult leader accused of abusing ‘indigenous girls over a period of two decades’

Indigenous actor Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, known for his role in the film “Dances with Wolves” (1990), was arrested in Nevada on charges of sexual abuse.

According to the Associated Press, the former actor has become a cult leader and is accused of abusing “indigenous girls over a period of two decades.”

Authorities allegedly received a complaint in October 2022 that he was the head of a cult called The Circle (The Circle in literal translation).

After months of investigation, Nathan was taken into custody when SWAT officers raided the home he shares with his five wives.

The search warrant also points out that there have been sex crime allegations against him dating back to the early 2000s, in states including Montana, South Dakota and Nevada.

Authorities have already identified six of his alleged victims, some of whom were as young as 13.

The court document also states that Nathan was banned from the Fort Peck reservation in Montana in 2015 after being accused of human trafficking.

In addition to starring in “Dances with Wolves,” Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse has also appeared in the series “Elo Perdido” (1993) and “Into the West” (2005), and in the telefilms “DreamKeeper” (2003) and “Bury the my heart in curva do Rio” (2007).
