Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger (“Terminator: Dark Fate”) struck a cyclist Sunday (5/2) in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the hit-and-run occurred after the cyclist allegedly swerved into the lane Schwarzenegger was driving in, and the actor failed to reduce his speed in time.
The incident was confirmed by witnesses, who spoke to police officers who responded to the call. Schwarzenegger himself was reportedly seen talking to officers. The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken to hospital where she is in stable condition. She had only minor injuries.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told TMZ that officers received the call and arrived at the scene around 10:30 a.m. in the San Vicente Boulevard and Burlingame Avenue area of Brentwood. The site also points out that Schwarzenegger himself brought in the victim’s bicycle to be repaired.
This isn’t the first time Schwarzenegger has been involved in an accident. In 2022, the car he was driving collided with another vehicle, leaving the driver injured, and hit a second car.
According to police information, the actor would have turned left while the traffic light was still closed. He has never been fined. The woman driving the other car sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital.
