It would seem that unlike outerwear, pants and sweaters, which with the right style can “blind” a new figure, shoes do not have such superpowers. But this is only at first glance: in fact, if you choose winter boots wisely, you will get a few centimeters of height as a bonus – and a “weight loss” effect!
It’s easy to “extend” your legs almost to the parameters of the model in the summer: it is enough to choose pumps with classic heels, and half the battle is done. Add a mini skirt or palazzo pants that also “stretch” the figure – and you are ready to parade on the catwalk. And what to do in the winter, when the only thing you have enough willpower for is to get out of bed, dive into a chunky sweater, pull on some UGG boots, and slowly walk to work?
Pointy toe boots came back from the 2000s for a reason, but to give us model legs from the ears up. A pointed “nose” visually lengthens the silhouette and, in combination with a neat heel (both a stiletto and a “column”), adds height. The main thing here is not to overdo it with the length of the wrapper: we don’t want to do like Aladdin with his bagels, right?

An obvious tip: to lengthen the legs, wear thigh-high boots, not stilettos – tight models, but looser options. Then it will be noticed that against the background of a voluminous top, the legs seem thinner. But beware of mid-thigh boots – on the contrary, they can “eat” growth. In an ideal situation, waders should go above the knee – this is a classic.

Another fashion trick that successfully coincided with the trend. The chunky sole lifts you up and your foot looks slimmer with this chunky construction. That’s why miniature bloggers are so fond of ankle boots with “tractor” soles: the contrast with the raw design “slims” the silhouette. We do not recommend such extra-unusual models of winter shoes, as they will be more difficult to mix with an everyday wardrobe. But we advise you to pay attention to high boots with thick soles: they are comfortable, stable, and also thin!
