REP Festival organizer guarantees a new edition of the event in 2024 after criticism, mud, frogs and snakes

Through Instagram, Rafael Liporace also apologized to the artists and the public present at the event.

Rafael Liporace used social media to apologize for the problems of the event, such as the appearance of snakes and mud in the space where the shows were held.

Through an Instagram video, apologized to spectators and artists, who complained about the organization of the festival. “First of all I would like to apologize to all those who were present at the REP Festival, and who experienced the conditions they went through, and with the whole ecosystem involved in this edition. We have in fact experienced moments that no one would like to experience”, said the organizer . “But importantly, no one did it in a caring way. No one wanted to provide the worst service. It was the situation that ended up leading us to this,” corrected the entrepreneur.

Rafael argued that heavy rains and the change of venue for the event contributed to the subsequent problems. “We tried to do our best and unfortunately it didn’t work out,” Liporace said. “Actually, the equation of the change of location plus the rains meant that the 2023 edition of the REP Festival was not the best. But we have to say that the REP Festival has placed this segment in the international standard of delivery quality”.

He compared the REP Festival’s problems to other mass events like Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza. “The uncontrollable variables that happened to the REP Festival also happen to other festivals: Rock in Rio in 1985 was marred by mud; Lollapalooza last year had rain that stopped the shows and had a breakdown in the structure. This it happens because ‘event’ comes from ‘contingency,'” he added.
