And the tributes to female warriors continue at the Anitta Carnival. After the pre-carnival “rehearsals”, the carioca took her trio to parade in Salvador, this time in honor of the French saint Joan of Arc. And who was present in the electric trio was Bruna Marquezine, who had already gone partying on Thursday (16th), with Ivete Sangalo.

Anitta wore an all silver look, referring to the armor of warriors who fought in the Middle Ages. Joan of Arc participated in the 100 Years War between France and England, she was elevated to heroine status by King Charles VII, but after the siege of Paris failed, her popularity declined. In 1430, the warrior was captured by the French who supported England. She was tried, she was sentenced to death and burned at the stake. She was only 19 years old. Years later, she was considered a martyr by the Catholic Church. In 1803, Joan became the national symbol of France, chosen by Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. She was beatified in 1909 and canonized in 1920 by the Vatican.
