The last day of the 54th edition of SPFW, this Sunday (20th), Black Consciousness Day, saw the majority of brands headed by black stylists parade. On the runways in general, black models also naturally joined the casting process, which is very good. And as a symbol of that day, there was also the premiere of Bless, son of Giovanna Ewbank and Bruno Gagliasso, on the Dendezeiro brand. Even the black trans singer Liniker walked the runway, concluding the last SPFW show, for the Minas Gerais brand Apartamento 03.
With all black designs and ageless fashion, the Dendezeiro collection came with a street vibe, like the caramel-colored suit worn by the boy, consisting of dungarees and jacket. White and blue also punctuated the show with all black models.

The word griô derives from the African oral tradition, used to designate masters who bring knowledge and cultural practices, these transmitted orally. “Traditionally, griots told the story of their people in the form of poems or songs,” she explained in the brand’s publicity material. Isa paid homage to stylists Marisa Moura and Mama, who are the Griôs who use fashion for their message. “They are the basis of my inspiration in making fashion, so the collection pays homage to two women, one Brazilian and the other African,” explains the designer. Both attended the parade.
The collection brought dresses, tunics, full skirts, many adorned with golden cowrie shells. Lace and flounces on dresses paraded by people of all genders populated the catwalk, in shades of strong and burnt yellow, blue, pink, lilac and white. All monochrome is comfortable. The stylist from Goiás no purple brought to SPFW a cheerful, wide, colorful collection with the theme “Fartura”. With prints that refer to fish, corn, okra, recalling the sharing of Candomblé.
To give shape to all this “abundance”, many volumes and flounces, as well as the mixture of colorful and lively designs, as if the elements were served in the same appetizing dish. The drawings are signed by the artist and illustrator Aline Bispo. Glam
Weider Silveiro showed on the last day of SPFW a collection that is just like her: for a powerful and elegant woman. But with an extra dose of novelty: earthy colors and browns that weren’t part of her color chart. Skirts with moderate volumes, large coats, dresses that are neither tight nor baggy, but always sophisticated, in a reference to the New Look Dior, responsible for the female silhouette in the post-war period, in the 50s.
Origins
The stylist Luiz Cláudio, from Apartment 03, closed the last day with a return to his black roots, both in the chosen theme and in some materials used in the collection called “Aureo”. He was inspired by the book “Um Defeito de Cor”, by Ana Maria Gonçalves, to save historical knowledge in a hymn to resistance, present in the story of the book’s character, Kehinde, an African woman who fought for freedom in Brazil.
Oxum, orixá that represents feminine wisdom and power, was the basis for creating the pieces in brown linen, also new in the Luiz Cláudio color chart, and white. Black was also present in the show, like the look worn by the transgender singer Liniker. And to create weaves, the miner focused on the material called kanekalon, used to make hair braids and wigs, which date back to the designer’s childhood. Straw acts as feathers in some pieces. There are gold pinstripe suits, pink velvet maxi coats, blue, purple and gold party dresses. Take note: Gold and silver promise to become a trend.
