Seasoned chicken pate recipe

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Performance: 6 portions

Difficulty level: easy

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 chopped red pepper
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 2 cups chicken (cooked and shredded)
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley (minced)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (tea)
  • 1/2 cup cream (milk)
  • 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt
  • Choice of French bread, toast, focaccia and snacks to accompany

Method of preparation:

  1. First, heat a pan with olive oil over medium heat and saute the onion and bell pepper for 2 minutes.
  2. Then add the carrot, chicken, parsley, salt, pepper and saute for 3 minutes.
  3. Then, turn off the heat, add the mayonnaise, the milk cream, the yoghurt and mix.
  4. Finally, transfer to a serving dish and refrigerate until ready to serve.

TIP: For an even more special flavour, how about making this pâté using smoked chicken?! Additionally, you can also augment your recipe by adding canned corn and peas.
