“The labor market is fat phobic, all professions, all companies, all spaces”said Letizia. The chat addressed relevant topics such as prejudice and bullying by colleagues, lack of structure (chairs, for example) within the corporate environment, as well as the fact that few fat people hold high and leadership positions in companies .

Guests also talked about the issue of clothes. ” You have to be very well dressed otherwise you are relaxed. Years ago, I was a receptionist at a restaurant that didn’t have a uniform, but the owner was saying how he liked us to dress. My friend and I wore the same dress, but he always told me I was not elegant. She was always there and I wasn’t,” Letticia said. In parallel with this accusation, they recalled the difficulty that fat people still encounter in buying clothes, despite the changes we have been following in recent years.

“Young people are trying to change that, but it’s a process that will take a long time,” he added.
