On February 22, almost a month ago, the participant of the Big Brother Brazil reality, Domitilla, said she dreamed of a room where there were 9 people lying down waiting for something. She also said that there were 3 empty beds in the same place. Interestingly, 9 eliminated are now, in March, awaiting a recap on BBB 23. The 3 empty beds could represent the 3 participants who will not be in the dynamic (Bruno, who withdrew from the program, and Antônio “Cara de Sapato” and MC Guimê, expelled last week). Thus, the Internet is already going crazy with Domitilla’s “prediction”. But do you know what the meaning of precognitive dreams is? Find out now!

Domitilla and precognitive dreams
Dreams can provide a lot of information about your current mood, worries, and hopes for the future. But can they really predict things that haven’t happened yet?
Precognitive dreams, in simple terms, are all dreams that provide information about the future. Having a precognitive experience can be disturbing to anyone, even when people don’t attach much importance to or don’t believe in predictions of the future, as in the case of participant Domitilla.
Difference between precognitive dreams and intuitive dreams
Premonitory dreams can be difficult to deal with. It’s entirely possible that you’ve had a few and didn’t realize it! However, if you’ve been having dreams that you think are premonitory, you may be right. They are more common than you might think!
But in some cases there is also a more rational explanation: what we call intuitive dreams. Imagine this scenario: A woman dreams that she has been diagnosed with a disease. Two months later she receives the blood test results and discovers that her dream has come true. One might think this was foretelling, but we need to consider the circumstances that led up to the dream. Now let’s imagine that the woman felt exceptionally tired, out of breath, and strange. Also, she slept more than usual. If so, the unconscious might lead you to this dream, where your own intuition has led you.
True precognitive dreams have no prior events or experiences to contribute to them, as in the case of Domitilla. They’re random and unexpected, but still turn out to be true later.
Why do precognitive dreams happen?
When a truly premonitory dream occurs, whatever the cause, it usually contains a message. She can be:
a warning
It is clear that we are connected to the Universe and all its mysteries in ways we don’t even know or understand! A precognitive dream can be a warning of something to come. If you believe in entities, guardian angels, or the spirits of deceased loved ones, someone or something could be sending you an important warning.
A sign that you are on the right track.
Precognitive dreams aren’t always horrific and/or scary. In some cases they can be very nice. Imagine that you are dreaming that you are in a butterfly field and next week you go for a walk with your friend and lo and behold, you are surrounded by beautiful butterflies. This could very well be a premonitory dream, but it could also show that you are moving in the right direction rather than a warning of something.
How do you know if you had a precognitive dream?
Precognitive dreams are hard to detect! Like Domitilla, you will never know immediately if your dream was premonitory or not. The only way to know is if it comes true – and it could be the next day or three years later.
Precognitive dreams are fascinating experiences! Even if you’ve never had it, the possibility of having it one day is very exciting. Furthermore, modern science is more vigorously investigating precognitive dreams, although we don’t know if we will ever have concrete answers to the many questions that accompany this topic.
