Australian woman diagnosed with didelphys uterus says she uses one vagina for her husband and another to produce adult content
The story of the porn star also known for having two vaginas has gone viral again. Australian Evelyn Miller has didelphys uterus, a type of congenital uterine malformation that affects one in 100 women, according to gynecologist Marcelo Cavalcante, a specialist in human reproduction.
“In this condition there are two hemiuterine and two uterine cervixes, although, in some cases, the two uterine cavities may join into a single cervix,” the doctor describes.
The explanation is the same as that of the gynecologist and obstetrician Carlos Moraes, who points out that it is not a question of the formation of two complete vaginas, but of the duplication of the upper part of the organ. “There, very close to the uterus, there is a septum that can form two vaginal cavities,” explains the specialist in perinatology, marital infertility and ultrasound.
This is the case of Evelyn, who discovered the disease in 2011 after years of suffering with pain during sexual intercourse and also problems with the use of sanitary pads.
According to the British tabloid ‘Daily Mail’, she had difficulty talking about the condition with her partners, but that has changed over time. Later she worked as an escort and today she says she earns 12 thousand euros a week with the production of adult videos – alone or with a partner – for platforms such as Pornhub and Onlyfans.
Married, she defends that the act “doesn’t look like a betrayal”, after all she uses “one vagina for work and another for play” with her husband.
Implications
After receiving a diagnosis and understanding the characteristics of her condition, Evelyn says she is living well with her two vaginas. She hasn’t even had any problems getting pregnant: the porn star herself has two children.
However, this is not the default. Since her vaginal duplication is linked to a type of uterine malformation, the most common thing is that the patient has reproductive difficulties.
“There is a history of difficulty getting pregnant due to poor training, history of miscarriage or even having premature births, a very important possibility. It is difficult for a patient with this type of malformation to carry on with the pregnancy”, underlines Carlos Moraes. To reverse the situation, the doctors emphasize that the way is surgical.
Is it possible to have simultaneous pregnancies?
Evelyn said she was careful not to have simultaneous pregnancies, but this is rare in cases of upper vaginal cavity duplicity. As gynecologist Marcelo Cavalcante explains, even with this condition, ovulation occurs normally.
“Only one egg a month in the vast majority of menstrual cycles,” emphasizes the doctor. “For a simultaneous pregnancy to occur, two eggs must be released, one from each ovary, fertilized and implanted separately in each uterine cavity.”
