The project designed by architect Fernando Mota also camouflages culinary utensils and accessories

This apartment 370 sq min the Tatuapé district, in São Paulo, has been completely renovated by the studio Mota Architectureby the architect Fernando Mota, who chose Florense to compose the made-to-measure furnishings for all the rooms, with particular attention to Kitchen.

The great challenge of the office was to change the old layout, which was very compartmentalized, into a new, more modern and contemporary style, in which all the rooms “dialogue” in an elegant but practical way.

The main desire of the family, made up of a couple and two small children, was to have a modern, cozy and elegant kitchenwhich could integrate with the dining room through a large sliding door, without however making a radical transition between the social area and the kitchen, creating a pleasant atmosphere for the daily life of the family.

With 23 sq m of surface, the kitchen has received a beige porcelain stoneware and a complete coating in BP laminate to warm up and make the environment more social. The hobs deliberately camouflage the utensils and cooking accessories, leaving only the refrigerator and hot towers in view, built into the flat unit, forming a homogeneous and proportionate “wall”.

“The care taken in transforming a heavily lived-in environment into a welcoming place meant that the residents spent a good part of their time with the large sliding door open, integrating it into the social environment”, concludes Mota.
