It is the Saddle bag, created by the then Dior designer John Galliano in the late 90s, which became a cult in the 2000s, being adopted by artists and celebrities such as Beyoncé, Elle MacPherson and Sarah Jéssica Parker, in the series “Sex in the City”. In 2018, the accessory was recreated by Maria Grazia Chiuri, recalling the icons of the Maison Dior, and was once again the object of desire of celebrities.
The piece is inspired by the world of equestrianism and has the shape of a horse saddle decorated with a metallic “D”. Five years ago Maria Grazie revisited the bag in two formats and four different finishes: monochromatic leather; in oblique (the iconic canvas of the maison); with 70s-inspired patchwork decorated with “peace and love”; and decorated with nine pieces of hand-embroidered beadwork in strong, contrasting colors.

The price on the official website of the store in other countries (in Brazil there is no online sale), converting it, is around R $ 20,000, not counting import taxes, which can increase the value much more. On used parts websites, some Saddle models are offered for 18,000 BRL.
