Born in 1668, in Italy, Crispim de Viterbo took his first concrete step into the religion when he entered as a novice among the Capuchins of Palanzana. Shortly after he became part of the Tolfa Convent.
Out of curiosity, he spent 40 years of his life begging on the street. The money raised was not intended for personal use. On the contrary. Crispim de Viterbo used what he collected to help the poor, prisoners and even abandoned children.
