The Chai Latte recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon (or 3 bags) of traditional black tea
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 5 carnations
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 seeds (or half a teaspoon) of turmeric
  • 8 grains of black pepper
  • A pinch of ground ginger

Method of preparation:

  1. Boil the water.
  2. In the meantime, grind the spices that are in grains in a mortar.
  3. Add all the spices to the water and simmer for at least 8 minutes.
  4. Then put the sugar and tea into the mixture and simmer over low heat for another five minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat, wait for it to cool down a bit and drain it well.
  6. Boil the milk separately and then froth it with a mixer.
  7. In a tall glass, serve the tea and then the milk with a pinch of cinnamon to decorate.
