Unusual information has gone viral on social networks in recent weeks: the Sweden would have recognized sex as a sport and would be promoting the first world championship in Gothenburg. The big sex marathon would bring together 20 representatives of different nations to compete in tests lasting from 45 minutes to an hour, over 6 weeks, starting on 8 June.
Jurors would still have 16 evaluation criteria – between foreplay and oral sex – to define the big winners of the intense and dynamic ‘sport’. The information circulates through the Brazilian and international press and social networks around the world, including the declaration of the ‘president’ of the Swedish Federation of Sex, Dragan Bratych.
Despite the wealth of detail, the story is nothing more than a rumor. The fact is that the Sweden has not recognized sex as a sport, nor will it host a world championship of this practice. A fake newsit was even publicly denied by the president of the Swedish Sports Confederation, Bjorn Eriksson.
Where does the voice come from?
That president of the Swedish Sex Federation, Dragan Bratch, to exist. According to the local press, he owns several striptease clubs around the country, as well as being the self-proclaimed creator and president of the Swedish Sex Federation. A personal initiative.
Bratych even asked the Swedish government for permission to stage a competitive sex event, but the proposal was rejected. “[Sexo] does not meet our requirements and I can inform you that this request has been denied. We have other things to do,” sports federation head Bjorn Eriksson said at the time.
