Rocky Mountain spotted fever is caused by two species of bacteria, both transmitted by the bite of the star tick, which usually remains in horses, cattle and capybaras. The incubation period of the disease is up to 15 days, so whoever has been to the Seu Jorge show continues until the next 18 within the period in which the disease can manifest itself. Among the main symptoms are: high fever, body aches, headache, lack of appetite and reddish spots on the skin.
